Birdy was born on the 15th May 1996. Her real name is Jasmine van de Bogaerde. She was born in Lymington, Hampshire, England. She got her nickname from her parents who used to called her birdy when she was a baby. When Birdy first composed the song I will be using (Skinny Love) she was 14 years old. This song was her first hit in the UK singles chart. Her songs have been copied by Ed Sheeran and The xx. The song Skinny love have also appeared in The Vampire Diaries.
